CIA's Ron Pandolfi on the UFO Working Group

The following excerpt has been transcribed from the recording of a telephone conversation, which appears to have been taped sometime around 1991 or 1992. An associate of Starstream Research, who met with Ron Pandolfi in Washington, D.C. last year, is confident that the voice on the tape is indeed Dr. Pandolfi.

The recording begins as follows:


01:22 (Phone rings)
Pandolfi: "Hello."
Caller: "Could I speak to Ron Pandolfi please."
Pandolfi: "That's me."
Caller: "Mr. Pandolfi, this is Dr. Victorian. I am calling from United Kingdom."
Pandolfi: "Uh, hmm."
Caller: "Ah, Mr. Pandolfi. I am a researcher in the area that you have vested interest."
Pandolfi: "Which area is that?"
Caller: "Psychotronic weapons. UFO subject."
Pandolfi: "O.K. ... "
Caller: "I understand that I am addressing also to Pelican, am I correct?"
Pandolfi: "Ah, That's correct, yes."
Caller: "I have very good information which has come from your senior friends about the AVIARY."
Pandolfi: "From my who?"
Caller: "From your -- other colleagues."
Pandolfi: "Other colleagues in the AVIARY, O.K."

19:16 [Later]

Pandolfi: "Have you read the book, what was that called, it was a book published, ah, last year, [the] Howard Blum book, Out There."
Caller: "Ah, well, yeah, I'm familiar with Howard's book."

Pandolfi: "O.K. Yeah, and it talked about like a Working Group. You know, I was a member of that Working Group, ah, when it started."

Caller: "Uh Huh. In DIA?"

Pandolfi: "Well, it was a ... Yeah, it started out that way, I was a member of it, but I, I resigned I guess after the first meeting."

Caller: "Who, who were the other members?"

Pandolfi: "Who were the other members? Well the meeting was organized by, ah, the first meeting was organized by, ah, Kit Green, and um, John Alexander. And um, it was about a dozen people there. But I don't, ah, you know I don't remember how it evolved. It evolved really quickly, but I left pretty quickly after the first meeting."

Caller: "But there was also a Navy guy in it."

Pandolfi: "Maybe Maccabee, I don't know."

Caller: "No, no, another person, go ahead, from ONI."

Pandolfi: "From ONI?"

Caller: "Yeah."

Pandolfi: "No, I'm not, I wasn't familiar with anybody from ONI."

Caller: "Uh huh. O.K. go ahead, well what happened, they actually [garbled] it?"

Pandolfi: "They went on and I think they still exist, I mean, I think John Alexander still runs that thing."

Caller: "Huh. [dropout] Yes, I know, he's out of Los Alamos, I know..."

Pandolfi: "Yeah, I don't have his ... number."
