Corrections to Gus Russo's Article "The Real X-Files"

I found a few minor errors in Gus Russo's new article about "The Real X-Files."

"Stargate was the name of a remote viewing project founded by the DIA in 1972, then later transferred to CIA."

The "STAR GATE" collection of declassified files was sourced from numerous programs, beginning with covert CIA-funded research at Stanford Research Institute in the early to mid-1970's. The DIA inherited one operational program in 1985. The STAR GATE files were transferred to CIA under Congressional Mandate in the mid-1990's, and the program was terminated following a final review.

SRI subjects were studied by the CIA, without their knowledge:

A declassified document featuring an official review of the various Department of Defense elements involved is availalbe at the Starstream Research website:

Mr. Russo also refers to the "Directorate of National Intelligence." This should have been the "Office of the Director of National Intelligence," known by the three-letter designation DNI.

Gordon Novel was incorrectly associated with Project Camelot. Project Camelot released a video interview with Mr. Novel:
